crafty

I've been feeling crafty ;)
I haven't had much "fun" time lately with all the obvious obligations lately but I did manage to make these:

and I made a bunch more of these magnets but I still have to photograph them. I'll probably post them later on tonight ;)

How do I live???

Yesterday I had an appointment with the military service that moves us once we leave the military. I guess I had prior misconceptions that they would come, pack up my belongings, and deliver my belongings at my new place within a couple days. That was not the case LOL.

Apparently, they are going to come to my home on the 27th next week, and pack everything up. Bed, furniture, tv, dvd's, appliances....e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. then they leave with all my stuff and they will deliver it all on or before April 3rd in my new apt. So....for about 4 days I'm not going to have anything at all! LOL. I'm going to make sure to keep my computer and scrapbook stuff with me, so that I have something to do at least while I wait for my stuff to be delivered, but dang! lol. Those few days will be interesting ;)

Here's a couple recent things I've done:

And I have found some REALLY cool artists on Etsy lately!! Check them out!

wooaw!

How long has it been?
I'm soooooo not on top of my game right now lol. Its got to have been at least a couple weeks since I posted! Well, I have been quite busy lately with preperations on getting out of the service and everything is going really well--by the way, thank you all SO much for all your kind emails and words of encouragement!! It means so much to hear positive things right now :)

This is gonna be a long one lol.
So here's what I've been doing.
First, scrappy things :)

I got a saweet box of Prima goods the other day and have created a couple things with it so far. I'm starting to feel the creative juices flowing again...although still a little sketchy hah...dude I wasn't feeling creative for like 3 weeks!! Thats the longest for me! weird how that comes and goes!

I did a tutorial on www.scrapinstyletv.com the other day showing how you can make your own little creative embellishments for the center of flowers. And of course I used all Prima stuff because. you know. I'm like a kid at christmas when I get new stuff.

I also did a little project this month with the new Prima stamps (people THESE are cool!!). First I created my very own patterned paper by stamping the Prima designs in black ink on white cardstock. Then I immediately began to swipe the ink pad up and down on the sheet...and because the stamped designs weren't 100% dry, this technique blurred the designs a little bit giving it a bit of a fancy grunge look.

I let the paper dry for a couple hours and then came back to make a card with it. My idea for the card was to make it look girly/fancy and at the same time grungy and rough, and this is how it came out:

Supplies: My custom stamped patterned paper, Prima IOD "steel toed mary janes" chipoard stickers (for the light blue quote above), Prima "say it in crystals" floral centers in black and pink, Prima mulberry black, pink, and blue flowers, Prima frosty flowers "sherbert", and a touch of chains found at michaels.

Since I will no longer be wearing a daily uniform starting April 1st, I've been doing a lot of clothes shopping and I have to admit it is fun fun fun! :) The other day I bought these

I got some good deals at the Saks and Nordstroms outlets :) I almost flipped when I saw these cream Tory Burch flats there in my size because I was bidding on them on ebay last week and was totally bummed when I lost the auction!

Bought this just for fun ;)

and can't WAIT to dig into more of the pile of Prima goods that were sent to me!!

I also visited my family last week to look for an apartment in the area. I found a decent one so I'm pretty relieved with that. My cousin is TOTALLY into Tokio Hotel. I mean dude. Her whole room is filled with posters, little pictures, and even a pillow ;) it's the cutest thing ever to see her in love with one of the band members!

Have a fun week!! :)

Super huge congratulations to all the new F-girls...I'm really excited to see what they create with the collections!

Hey! I logged into Etsy this morning and guess what I saw??

One of my photos on their mainpage! What a fun way to start my day!!! :)
Scrapped a layout the other day using (big surprise here lol) lots of Prima goods! If you've never tried out the IOD tapes they have you my friend, are missing out! They are fun for layouts...but think...you can even use them for envelopes or packages for a fun touch. I love the stuff. and as Kayla Aimee would say. Amen. ;)

Still adding more photos to my Etsy. I've been really getting into doing different kinds of edits lately. I'm thinking this one as bittersweet.

And lastly, this photo warms my heart so much. I love this little dog so much. Especially when I see him sleeping next to his favorite toy ;)
