well hello!

Been needing to update with lots of new stuff for a while now :)
so the artistic edge workshop is going really well...here's a sneak peek

Tami did the sweetest thing and gave me Adobe lightroom as a gift and it's flippin INSANE. I can't get myself out of it. I want to re-edit like all of my photos now lol. Here's some peeks at what it does

The biggest news around my parts is that I'm enrolling into a few programs. One for photography, one for an artist certification, and the other for a diploma in graphic arts. I'm pretty psyched about it all. So I'll be working for Prima part time instead of full time while I focus on school and art. Good stuff. :)

So since I have a couple more days off a week I'll also be re-opening my Etsy shop soon with lots of fun things. I'm super super excited to create.

I've also been scrapbooking but I can't show any of it....yet at least ;) you know how that goes lol.

There's a new special someone in my life now too :) His names matt and we've been talking since before I left for france. He's a really killer guy, and I thought I'd share a photo I took of him the other day. He's a super sweetie.

So thats pretty much all the big news for now. Things at Prima are just. insane. Trying to get things prepared for CHA.

Trying to get my blu ray system upgrade...but Sony makes it the most complicated process ever. lol. dont even get me started on that one. Ok welps off to bed for me! hugs, Adrienne

 

Who what when where: At Prima Marketing in Chino Hills, CA. 11am-1pm (but you can register to stay longer if you want). Cost: $40 and you don't need to bring anything except for your pictures. The workshop is for 4 6"x6" pages (8 front and back) using a variety of Prima goods including lots of bling, lots of flowers, colors and fun!

Epson R1900 review

I spent quite some time testing this bad boy out. I printed for a couple weeks now to give you a super accurate review, and so here it goes :)

Lets talk about the gloss optimizer technology

Epson also claims that with the R1900 you get deeper blacks. This new feature is thanks to a new ink cartridge catered to just that (matte black cartridge). I tested this out with several pictures and even compared the pictures from previous printers and yes it's very true that the blacks are much richer. Actually I don't think you can get any blacker lol.

 

and now for the most important part :)

so folks, I would 100% recommend this printer. My aunt has one now too (I'm persuasive eh?? lol) and she's going to give me her side of what she likes about it since she looks at printing from a different perspective- I'll keep you updated.  And if you have any questions about this one please by all means email me...I would be more than happy to discuss a feature or enlighten you on it's awesome-ness :)

Hi all! Happy weekend :)

Just wanted to post that registrations for the new and improved artistic edge course are nowwwwwww open! horay! You can view details and purchase your ticket in righty over here. 

Like I mentioned before we will be learning a whole new slew of awesome things along with some of the original lessons.  Another improvement I've made is that instead of daily lesson I have structured it so that all the lessons are already posted once you enter the "classroom". This way *you* choose how many you want to learn each day :) good stuff. so yah, if your interested, the link above will lend ya all the details. and for only $30 you can't go wrong lol.

It's back!

I've already had a few questions about the classes I listed below and some of you made very good points. If you already have the supplies that I listed for the course kits...or if you just want to learn the concept without the kit you can purchase registration at a discounted price with no shipment of products. :) I don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place. I know that many of you probably don't have the Gama-Go gear but like I mentioned if you just wanna learn the concept then I can offer that as well.

"Shhh...It's secret" series workshop #2:

Here's what you will need to have in order to complete this project:
--a miniature hole punch (one that people typically use to create a hole to put an eyelet through). A cropodile will definitely work. a normal hole punch will work
also but not recommended as the holes will be noticable.

--Tacky glue such as fabritech or hot glue gun. Something that adheres plastic.

Over the past month or so I've had a lot of questions that I've been meaning to answer so today I'll do a little Q&A :)

a LOT of you wanna know what cam I have...so sorry it took me this long lol. forgive me yah?

Q: Just checking on what camera you have??
A: I just recently bought a Sony DSC-H50 which is actually catagorized on websites as "DSLR-like". It's pretty killer...best purchase ever!

Q:Do you hate sandcastles? LOL!
A: No they are ok I suppose lol...I'm not fond of sand blowing in my eyes if that counts?

Q:Love the photo collage behind him - is that frames or canvas? Loves!
A: The photo collage in my living room is made using several different sized frames--which I purchased at Wal mart but can also be found at Michaels. :)

Q:And how did thinks go with the family diner??
A: annnnnd considering we broke up we will just move onto the next lol.

Q:OMG what is on the wall behind him???? Are those your pictures?? In frames or on canvas?
A: the photo collage LOL.

Epson

weeeeeeeeeee. I'm excited because I got this sweet little number from the postman a few days ago..

It looks like a normal sized printer but it's actually the new Epson R1900 which is a large professional grade inkjet printer. It's prints at 13"x19" but you can also use roll paper in it so you can make killer panaramas with that! Anyways, I LOVE Epson printers...they have always been my #1 choice...and I will never buy a different brand lol. Does that sound sales-pitchy or what? haha. but I'm gunna do a review on this one because I'm serious you need to see what this thing does! So I'll be doing that this weekend.

I also took a couple pics in my halfway painted apt last night before I left on a date (which by the way was rad!).

Today is an exciting day as we got a lot of new samples in at Prima. I got to see for the first time many of the products I designed in person and it's such a weird feeling! Winter CHA can't come soon enough!!! Prima is coming out with some of the most killer wicked cool products that I've seen in a long time! The last time I was this excited about a new product was back when KI came out with those foamy mini embellishments lol. so yah it's exciting :D
